Hutt City Church Kids

At Hutt City Church, you’ll find a great place for your children. We have a range of age-appropriate, fun and interactive programmes available, where kids make memories and foster a relationship with God in a safe environment.

Hutt City Church kids' programme caters for children aged 0 to 15. Please register your child as soon as you arrive, and will be contacted if you are needed throughout the service. Find the kids zone through the main entrance and to your right.

Wondering what it’d be like to visit Hutt City Church on a Sunday? We understand it can be daunting visiting a church for the first time, so here are some FAQs to get to know us a little better. We can’t wait to see you on Sunday!

What’s this church thing?

What’s the music like?

At Hutt City Church, we love to worship God through live music and songs of praise. Worship here is vibrant, joyful and contemporary, led each week by a team of musicians, vocalists and sound technicians. Join in, or just listen.

How long is church?

Each Sunday can look a bit different, but our services generally run for about 75 minutes, with singing, notices, prayer and relevant teachings. Stay after the service to connect and enjoy a hot drink. We’d love to meet you!

What is a Sunday service at Hutt City Church like?

Newcomers are warmly welcomed here, feel free to participate or to sit back as you choose. Our services are relaxed and friendly, and begin at 10am every week. We have people to meet and hang out with before the service begins, but if you’re arriving a few minutes late, don’t worry! We’ll always keep the doors open for you.

Do you have coffee?

We sure do! There’s always plenty of coffee, tea and hot chocolates available on Sunday mornings. Come early before the service for a free coffee from our team of Baristas or hang out after the service to get your coffee fix and meet some new people while you’re at it!

How Do I Do Church?

Where can I park?

There is ample free, off-street parking available in the carpark right next to the auditorium. Entrance to the carpark is on Marsden Street; look for the flags and our friendly carpark team to help you find a spot on Sunday morning.

What do I do with my kids?

Bring them along! We have a range of fantastic, age-appropriate kids’ programmes that are fun, safe and interactive. Check out more about Hutt City Church Kids and our Sunday morning programmes here.

What should I wear to church, and do I need to bring anything?

There’s no dress code at Hutt City Church; we’d love for you to wear whatever you feel comfortable in! Jeans and sneakers are fine, or if you’d like to wear something more formal, that’s fine too. You'll see people wearing a variety of clothing here; everyone is welcome. You don’t need to bring anything, just come as you are.

Where can I sit?

Anywhere! There are no allocated seats here, you’re more than welcome to find a place where you feel most comfortable.

Does it cost to attend?

No, it is totally free to join us for church on Sunday. There is an opportunity during our services to contribute towards the running of our church and our ministries, but there is no obligation or pressure at all to give.

Can I attend if I’m just visiting the area?

Yes! We’d love to meet you and welcome you into Hutt City Church, whether you’re looking for a church to make your home, or if you’re visiting for a week or two.

Do you have disabled access and seating?

Yes, we have accessible facilities. There are mobility car parks close to the door, and mobility toilets on the ground floor. Our welcome team will gladly help you find a suitable seat.
